Braces
& Invisalign®
Misaligned
teeth can be a cosmetic concern as well as a functional concern.
Although most people will ask to have their teeth straightened to
improve their looks, cosmetics is more of a byproduct of healthy
teeth. When teeth are nice an straight and fit well together,
chewing forces are well distributed. This protects the teeth from
excess wear as well as protects the surrounding gum and bone tissue
from traumatic forces.
Both
conventional braces and Invisalign® braces can be used to
straighten teeth. In some cases both are used to achieve the
desired result. See some before and after photos below.
Case #2
- Invisalign® Braces to close
spaces
This
patient had spaces between her teeth that she wanted closed.
Conventional braces where not an option here as they would
interfere with the patient's modeling career. Good thing there is
Invisalign®. Check out what was
done in as little as 7 months.

Case #1
- Conventional Braces
When
this patient first came the office she had multiple baby teeth
covering erupting adult teeth. Once the baby teeth were all
removed, it was evident there were crowding issues, primarily with
the top teeth. To help relieve the crowding on the top two adult
teeth were removed (1st premolars). The rest of the adult teeth
were allowed to fully erupt on their own over the next couple of
months and then active treatment with conventional braces was
started. Just over a year later, treatment was completed, braces
removed, and the patient entered her retentive phase.
